FAQ

What is Botox?

Botox or Botulinum Toxin is designed to “freeze” facial muscles. It works on wrinkles that are caused by muscle movement. These are known as dynamic wrinkles, often called “expression lines”. Common areas treated include frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines.

What is Xeomin?
Xeomin is a brand of Botox that is uniquely purified and free of any accessory proteins. This is important when considering which Botox is right for you because with this purified toxin you will never develop any immunogenicity to Xeomin and therefor will consistently get adequate results with each treatment.
How much Botox will I need?
Each individual varies in how many units of Botox are needed for adequate treatment. Below are estimated amounts per area.
FOREHEAD LINES 10-30 UNITS
FROWN LINES 20-30 UNITS
EYEBROW LIFT 2-5 UNITS
BUNNY OR NASALIS LINES 5-10 UNITS
CROW’S FEET 5-15 UNITS
VERTICAL LIP LINES 2-7 UNITS
SMILE LIFT 3-6 UNITS
What Can I Expect During Treatment?
Treatment usually takes between 10-20 minutes. You will be required to complete a medical history and consent form. During treatment, the provider will inject a small needle into the muscles in the forehead and other areas of the face that cause the fine lines and wrinkles. There is minimal discomfort.
When Can I Expect to See Results?
You may begin to see visible smoothing as early as 2-5 days after injection. It may take up to 2 weeks. The duration of treatment is typically 3-4 months.
